iPhone USB C charging port confirmed by Apple

According to The Verge, Apple has confirmed that iPhones include the USB-C charging connection, complying with European Union standards.

A Wall Street Journal reporter asked Apple's senior vice president of global marketing, Greg Jozuyak, whether the iPhone's charging connector would be upgraded.
Joswiak said Europeans set the date.
He stated all phones and tablets should have USB-C connectors by autumn 2024.

He categorically ignored a question about whether or not the corporation planned to use the new connection in phones that would be sold outside of the European Union.

Joswiak, however, made it quite apparent that Apple is not pleased to be forced by law to make this adjustment to their phone. Joswiak, while conceding that Apple must follow the law, explained how the firm has always preferred to forge its own path and put faith in its engineers rather than be forced to comply with norms already ratified by politicians.
