Click Voicebox again in the top left corner once you've made all of your options. All of the different voices that you may install for free from VoiceMod are shown at the top of the Voicebox interface.

You can see all the other premium voices that are available if you scroll down below, but you get quite a few voices simply for free, so that's what I'm going to utilise today.

We'll examine how you may alter your voice as well, and best of all, it's totally free. Let's investigate how. Go to the following webpage first:

Click the text that reads "instal Voicemod for free" when you arrive at the page, and then follow the installation instructions.

You will arrive to this interface when the installation is complete. Let's click settings over there on the left-hand side before we start experimenting with some of these voices. You may select the type of microphone you want to use right here.

Simply click on one of these voices to activate it and start using it. I can turn on this button in the lower left-hand corner so you can hear a sample of the voice.

I can now hear myself speaking in this voice. The voice changer can also be turned on or off over here; it's on right now, but I could turn it off over here to hear my regular voice. I will restart this. I can turn off my own voice here. This is excellent for simply previewing these many voices.

I could also toggle on or off background effects over on the right-hand side, and some of these voices come with backdrop effects that you could employ.

I see all these various features that I may change for this voice when I choose one of these voices, over on the right-hand side. You may choose the precise character or voice actor that was used to train this AI model, which is a pretty intriguing option. I'll continue to use the built-in narrator.

How do you really utilise your new voice in situations like phone calls or apps like Discord, for example? Or perhaps all you want to do is record your voice? Let's start by taking a look at how it may be used to an app.

Go to user settings, voice and video on the left, then choose your input device at the top to utilise the VoiceMod-changed voice. You want to utilise this microphone when using Discord.

When you click on this drop-down menu, you'll see a microphone VoiceMod virtual audio device option.Make sure to select that one.

This will ensure that you are using the new voice within Discord, and for the output device, or basically your speakers, you could set it to whatever you want. Now that we've selected that, you'll want to make a few adjustments within the user settings to make sure the voice sounds as good as possible.

There’s one option for input sensitivity. Let's make sure to toggle that off. Voicemod already adjusts the sensitivity, so we don't need Discord to do that. If we scroll down just a little bit more, we'll find some more settings, like noise suppression.

Switch it off. That feature is also available in Voicemod, and echo cancellation is a little further down the page. Switch it off. All you have to do is turn off noise cancellation and then turn off automatic gain control.

Your new voice will now be used whenever you join a voice conversation or place a call through Discord. Simply click on a different voice inside Voicemod to switch your voice on Discord. I'll click Alice here, and Discord will now get that voice across the internet. You may add a keybinding, or essentially a shortcut key, over on the right-hand side, under the qualities, to switch to another voice even faster.

You can go through and apply various keybindings or shortcut keys to any one of these voices within Voicemod. For example, if I click it and then press F7 to attach the key, that will now activate this voice. I may click "Clean Voice" in Voicemod to disable the voice changer.

I could also disable the voice change below, as an alternative. Returning to Discord, you may switch to another microphone by going back to your voice options under input device, where you can turn off the voice changing.

Next, we're going to look at how you can change your voice on a phone call, and you can use apps like Google Voice or Skype to pull this off. Let's look at how you can do this in Google Voice.

Here on Google Voice, to change my voice on a phone call, in the top right-hand corner, let's click on audio settings, and right at the top, just like we did in Discord, I can select my microphone. When I click on this dropdown here too, let's select the one for VoiceMod. Then click away, and now you can make a call, and it'll use your changed voice.

Lastly, we're going to look at how you can record your changed voice, and to do that, I recommend installing an app called Audacity. You can click on the card up above or the link down below in the description.

Once Audacity is installed, choose Voicemod from the drop-down list, exactly like we've been doing in Google Voice and Discord, to record your modified voice over via the input. You may then select whatever speaker you like over on the right-hand side.

By clicking the red record icon, I am now immediately recording my modified voice in Audacity. Click the stop symbol after you're done recording, and then click again to listen to it.

After clicking the record icon, I'm now recording a new voice. One of my absolute favourite tools for recording and editing audio is Audacity.

Okay, well, perhaps you can now enjoy changing your voice because you know how to do it.
