These qualities make AirPods worth buying [Video]

Apple AirPods are perhaps the company's most successful accessory to date, second only to the iPhone. With $12.7 billion in sales in 2021, AirPods outpaced the earnings of industry giants like Spotify, Twitter, and Shopify.

Before we start

The next year, 2022, they sold 19.3 million copies, and remember, this is only one product and not the whole firm. There are so many AirPods out there, you'd think more people would know about its capabilities. Sure, AirPods have a transparent mode and may block out background noise, but they're capable of so much more!.

1. Hearing in Control Center

If you haven’t already done so, be sure to go into your Control Center and add the Hearing toggle into your Control Center. Doing this will unlock the first three features that I want to bring up.

Hearing in Control Center

Live Listen

You can use your iPhone as a microphone for your AirPods and listen to conversations that are within the Bluetooth range (30-60 ft). Open Control Center, tap on the ear toggle we added, and select “Live Listen.” Place your iPhone in front or near where you want to listen. You will then begin to hear audio from that area in your AirPods

For the record, my go-to headphones are the recently released AirPods Pro Gen II, which are now $50 off on Amazon. I really like the portability, sound quality, compact design, and, most of all, the long battery life. If there is a feature that is unique to a certain model of AirPods, I will specify that fact. Otherwise, the information presented here and in the video should be generally applicable. Please plug in your AirPods and join me in getting things started.

1) Discussion in the Command Post

Make sure you've added the Hearing toggle to your Control Center if you haven't already. By doing so, you'll have access to the first three features I'm going to discuss.

Indigenous white noise

There's a "background noise" option in the same Control Center menu. The white noise generator is located here. You may adjust the volume and choose from six different ambient sounds by tapping the background noise area.
Constant hum of an iOS 16 device

Adjusting your AirPods' default settings is as simple as clicking a button.
Apple has strategically placed access to your AirPods' preferences at the forefront of the settings menu after you've paired them and opened the menu. This is fantastic since it makes adjusting your AirPods' settings much easier.

Third-generation AirPods Pro speaker

The new AirPods Pro Gen II are almost similar to the original in size, shape, and style, but Apple has included two features that users have been requesting. The first was a tiny hole for attaching a lanyard, which means that the AirPods case is compatible with lanyards that may be purchased separately. And secondly, there was the updated microphone and speaker setup at the AirPods' base. Three different occurrences trigger audible output from the speaker:

It will chirp when placed on a wireless charger or plugged into an outlet to let you know it is not charging.

It will also chime to let you know that you put an AirPod that wasn't yours into your case if you accidentally put it in there.

You can now use Find My to ping your misplaced AirPods Pro and track it down, whether you left them in the living room or the trunk of your vehicle.

All of these upgrades to the AirPods Pro's hardware are much appreciated.

4. Isolating one ear from outside noise

In the AirPods' menu, you may toggle on single-ear noise cancelling. You can disable ambient sound with only one AirPod by going to the system's settings and tapping the "Accessibility" option there. However, our fans have provided some excellent examples of how they put this function to good use in the comments section of the YouTube video we linked to above.
Wrap-up

AirPods Pro, as I indicated at the outset, are among my most favourite Apple products. I never leave the home without them because of how much utility they give in such a little container.

These AirPods seem incomparable, whether I'm using them to walk my dog, do housework, travel three hours to work, or sit on an aeroplane for six. These are just a few of the many helpful hints I provide in my comprehensive AirPods video.

To what extent do you agree or disagree? Own a pair of AirPods? The question is, which edition do you have? Did you drop $550 on the AirPods Max? If you don't use AirPods exclusively, whatever device do you use them with the most? Leave a comment below and tell me how you put your AirPods to use; I'd love to hear your ideas! Best wishes for a pleasant listening experience!
